Today we had a Japanese scholar group come in. I had to practice the presentation a few times with Catherine and Lumene. There was a slide in the presentation about me and I had to practice reading about me so I could tell the group. Something new I learned about Mass Advocates today was I learned more about the work that Leslie Lockhart does. Leslie takes in the helpline calls from parents. Some other new things I learned today was from the Japanese group. The two have a disability. One of them went to school at Seattle, Washington that’s how she learned to speak English. The group they are part of is called the Duskin Trainee program. I got to meet two more people that work at ICI. They want to work with disabled students in schools. I learned a few new words in Japanese too. What easy for me today was telling the group about the work that the staff does at MAC and about me and the work that I do here at MAC. Nothing was hard for me today. What I liked best about today was when the group came Japanese Duskin group came in. Lumene and I presented and it went well. I liked telling about me and the work I do at MAC. I liked getting a picture taken with the two that came. I am glad I got to meet them. We just had to present to the Japanese group and we had snacks.
